Seth Steele- A Photo Essay

My brother Seth is one of those people that you can’t define in any one word, unless that word is “free”.  My brother is not just a kind, loving guy, but he stretches to find what’s out in the world. He’s not one to be tied down, to sit and wait for excitement to come to him. He’s not afraid to explore the world around him. He doesn’t question what’s safe, what’s scary, or what’s hard to accomplish. He goes out and lives.
As Seth has inherited the family gene of exploring and living life to the fullest, even if it’s dangerous, he also is an incredible individual. For example, there were many objections to his first tattoo, namely from our parents. But, he realized that he was his own person, it’s his life, and what he wanted badly enough couldn’t be shot down by a few people, even if they were his parents.

One of his most challenging characteristics is this, his love for film. Ever since he was young he would direct movies. Movies with Pokémon toys, movies making yet another Indiana Jones sequel and movies where the prince would save the princess. His love for film didn’t stop at childhood, instead it continued to grow. He started to make massive sets, one namely of a tree fort dressed as a Roman Palace. He kept making videos for projects throughout high school, and finally attended a Film College. Throughout his whole process of yearning and dreaming about being an extraordinary videographer, people kept shoving him down. Telling him that that was a hard field to get into and he should try a business major instead. But again, he wouldn’t let people’s words get him down, and he still hasn’t. He is a dreamer, but he doesn’t just think about what he could accomplish, he takes control and makes his dreams come true.
